” Headshot Fashion Tips Spring 2018″

With Spring well and truly on the way and with the new fashion collections in the shops, I thought I’d do a bit of window shopping to see what one of our most well known high street fashion retailers  (Marks and Spencers) had to offer if you’re searching for that perfect headshot top.  I’ve come up with a few gems that might make that hunt a bit easier.

A great shirt if you want something simple, classic and in a soft colour.  Patterns are great but they can be a bit distracting.  It’s quite a classic and would be a good choice if you wanted to appear approachable, friendly and open.  Obviously, it depends on your skin tone but with the right the shade of colour, this could be a winner.

Quite an unusual colour I think but I like the little detail running down the one side.  This would really “pop” against a white background and would certainly stand out.  One of the things that I take into consideration when shooting headshots is what the image will look like when it’s been reduced in size.  A lot of my headshots are used for LinkedIn and a top in a great colour can real give impact.

I love the colour of this one.  Really simple neckline too.  A soft fabric and that also comes in grey.  You could team it up  with a statement necklace to add a bit of personality too.
